Daniel and I were married in 1995 after a 6 month whirlwind courtship
that began at a hockey game. I had attended the game to meet a player on
Daniel's team, but became smitten that day with Daniel instead.
"The friend had asked Daniel to keep me company in the bleachers while he
played," LOL.After we were married, we wanted to start a family relatively
soon. But we both also wanted me to be a stay-at-home mom. Daniel was
just getting started in his father's tire business, while I would be
quitting my position at the State marriage licensing division. Our daughter
Taylor was born in 1994 with a medical emergency that required an extended
hospital stay in the pediatric ICU. At first I thought I was losing my
child and thats all I could think about. But my grandmother grabbed my
hand, leaned over and prayed and I had peace that instance.
That was the day I learned to trust God with every situation that
comes along. In 1996 we had our Son Ryan. At 4mnths hold he was hospitalized with RSV but soon recovered.
After 10 years of marriage
Daniel has been diagnosed with Ankliosing Spondylitis, a rare chronic
condition that causes severe arthritic-type pain and limits any motion
extending from the spinal column. The disease has ended Daniel's love
for hockey and golf as well as cut his very physical job at the tire
shop down to part-time desk work. He now sees the physician almost
weekly for shots that require hundreds of dollars after insurance.
But we still count our blessings. We are thankful for the
extra time we have together now that Daniel must devote many days
to bed rest and doctor's visits. And we are determined that with
God's help, we will get through it.
Have a nice day !
glad to see you on here!
Many prayers and blessings,
Kristie
